Meaning of the Five SEC WFSRI Rating Levels

 

 

SEC WFSRI Rating의 각 등급은 해당 평가연도의 평가결과를 바탕으로 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 수준을 구분하여 나타낸다.

Each SEC WFSRI Rating represents a distinct level of Responsible Management for corporations and public institutions based on the evaluation results for the relevant evaluation year.

각 등급은 조직의 특정한 하나의 성과나 평가요소만을 의미하지 않으며, SEC 평가방법론(SEC Evaluation Methodology)과 SEC 평가체계(SEC Evaluation Framework)에 따라 도출된 종합적인 책임경영 평가결과를 반영한다.

Each Rating does not represent any single organizational performance measure or evaluation factor. It reflects comprehensive Responsible Management evaluation results derived through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework.

 

 

 

Ⅰ. AAA (Platinum)

 

AAA(Platinum)는 SEC WFSRI Rating의 최상위 등급으로, 해당 평가연도의 SEC 평가에서 책임경영 전반에 걸쳐 매우 우수한 수준의 종합적인 평가결과가 확인된 기업 및 공공기관에 부여한다.

AAA (Platinum) is the highest level of the SEC WFSRI Rating and is assigned to corporations and public institutions demonstrating an exceptionally high level of comprehensive Responsible Management evaluation results for the relevant evaluation year.

책임경영의 체계와 실천 및 그 성과가 전반적으로 매우 우수하게 평가되고, 책임경영의 지속적인 발전과 개선을 위한 역량이 높은 수준으로 확인된 단계이다.

This Rating indicates that Responsible Management systems, practices, and performance are evaluated as comprehensively outstanding and that a high level of capability for continued development and improvement in Responsible Management has been demonstrated.

 

 

Ⅱ. AA (Gold)

 

AA(Gold)는 해당 평가연도의 SEC 평가에서 책임경영 전반에 걸쳐 우수한 수준의 종합적인 평가결과가 확인된 기업 및 공공기관에 부여한다.

AA (Gold) is assigned to corporations and public institutions demonstrating a high level of comprehensive Responsible Management evaluation results for the relevant evaluation year.

책임경영의 체계와 실천 및 그 성과가 전반적으로 우수하게 평가되고, 책임경영의 지속적인 발전과 개선을 위한 기반과 역량이 안정적으로 확인된 단계이다.

This Rating indicates that Responsible Management systems, practices, and performance are evaluated as generally strong and that a stable foundation and capability for continued development and improvement in Responsible Management have been demonstrated.

 

 

Ⅲ. A (Silver)

 

A(Silver)는 해당 평가연도의 SEC 평가에서 책임경영의 주요 체계와 실천이 일정한 수준으로 구축·운영되고 있으며, 종합적인 평가결과에서 양호한 책임경영 수준이 확인된 기업 및 공공기관에 부여한다.

A (Silver) is assigned to corporations and public institutions whose key Responsible Management systems and practices are established and operated at an appropriate level and whose comprehensive evaluation results for the relevant evaluation year demonstrate a sound level of Responsible Management.

책임경영의 지속적인 발전과 개선을 위한 기반이 확인되는 한편, 일부 평가영역에서는 추가적인 개선과 발전이 필요한 결과가 나타날 수 있는 단계이다.

This Rating indicates that a foundation for continued development and improvement in Responsible Management has been demonstrated, while some evaluation areas may require further improvement and advancement.

 

 

Ⅳ. BB (Certified)

 

BB(Certified)는 해당 평가연도의 SEC 평가에서 책임경영을 위한 기본적인 체계와 실천기반이 확인되고, SEC WFSRI Rating 기준에 따른 기본적인 수준의 책임경영 평가결과가 확인된 기업 및 공공기관에 부여한다.

BB (Certified) is assigned to corporations and public institutions that demonstrate fundamental systems and practices for Responsible Management and a basic level of Responsible Management evaluation results under the SEC WFSRI Rating criteria for the relevant evaluation year.

책임경영을 위한 기본적인 기반이 확인되지만, 책임경영 수준을 더욱 높이기 위해 여러 평가영역에서 지속적인 개선과 발전이 필요한 단계이다.

This Rating indicates that a fundamental foundation for Responsible Management has been demonstrated, while continued improvement and development across multiple evaluation areas are needed to further strengthen the level of Responsible Management.

 

 

Ⅴ. B (Not Certified)

 

B(Not Certified)는 SEC WFSRI Rating의 5단계 평가등급 가운데 해당 평가연도의 종합적인 평가결과에서 책임경영 수준의 추가적인 개선이 필요한 것으로 확인된 기업 및 공공기관에 부여한다.

B (Not Certified) is one of the five SEC WFSRI Rating levels and is assigned to corporations and public institutions whose comprehensive evaluation results for the relevant evaluation year indicate that further improvement in Responsible Management is needed.

책임경영의 체계와 실행기반을 보다 충실하게 구축하고, 평가에서 확인된 주요 개선 필요영역에 대한 지속적인 관리와 개선이 필요한 단계이다.

This Rating indicates the need to further strengthen Responsible Management systems and implementation foundations and to continuously manage and improve key areas identified through the evaluation.

 

 

Ⅵ. BB(Certified)와 인증제도의 구분

VI. Distinction between BB (Certified) and the Certification System

BB(Certified)의 ‘Certified’는 SEC WFSRI Rating의 5단계 등급체계를 구성하는 공식 등급명이다.

“Certified” in BB (Certified) is the official designation of one of the five rating levels within the SEC WFSRI Rating system.

따라서 BB(Certified)라는 Rating 명칭 자체가 별도로 운영되는 인증제도에 따른 인증의 부여를 의미하는 것은 아니다.

Accordingly, the BB (Certified) Rating designation itself does not constitute the granting of certification under the separately operated Certification System.

별도의 인증은 해당 인증제도의 기준과 절차에 따라 결정하며, SEC WFSRI Rating과 인증제도는 각각의 목적과 운영기준에 따라 구분하여 운영한다.

Separate certification is determined in accordance with the criteria and procedures of the applicable Certification System, and the SEC WFSRI Rating and Certification System are operated separately according to their respective purposes and operational standards.

 

 

Ⅶ. 등급 해석의 기본원칙

VII. Basic Principles for Interpreting Ratings

SEC WFSRI Rating은 해당 평가연도의 평가자료와 평가환경을 바탕으로 최종 확정된 평가결과를 나타낸다.

The SEC WFSRI Rating represents evaluation results finalized on the basis of evaluation data and the evaluation environment for the relevant evaluation year.

각 등급은 평가대상 조직의 책임경영 수준을 이해하기 위한 평가정보이며, 조직의 모든 측면에 대한 절대적인 판단이나 미래의 성과, 가치 또는 경쟁력을 확정하거나 예측하는 의미로 해석하지 않는다.

Each Rating provides evaluation information for understanding the level of Responsible Management of an evaluated organization and is not interpreted as an absolute judgment of every aspect of the organization or as a determination or prediction of its future performance, value, or competitiveness.
