Management of Evaluation Information
The Objectivity and Reliability of evaluation results are significantly affected by the accuracy and appropriate management of information used in evaluation. If evaluation materials are arbitrarily altered, used without necessary verification, accessed by unauthorized persons, or improperly used, the Reliability of professional evaluation judgments and evaluation results may be compromised.

The Evaluation Committee conducts professional review and deliberation on individual evaluations on the basis of evaluation information and results collected, verified, and derived through the evaluation process.
The mere existence of particular information does not mechanically determine an evaluation result. The Evaluation Committee comprehensively reviews relevant information on the basis of objective evaluation data, verifiable information, the SEC Evaluation Methodology, the SEC Evaluation Framework, and established evaluation principles and procedures.
The Evaluation Committee has professional decision-making authority over final evaluation results, Ratings, and certification-related determinations concerning individual evaluations. Evaluation information management, verification, and Internal Control functions do not replace, separately approve, or alter such professional judgments.

Review and improvement of evaluation information management are not intended to re-deliberate professional judgments concerning individual evaluations or alter final determinations of the Evaluation Committee but to continuously safeguard the accuracy, integrity, and appropriate use of evaluation information.
Through this management of evaluation information, SEC maintains the accuracy and integrity of information necessary for evaluation and ensures that evaluation information is used responsibly within established purposes and authority. On this basis, SEC protects an information environment in which the Evaluation Committee can exercise independent and professional judgment and safeguards the Objectivity and Reliability of the evaluation process and results.
